While depending on standard plotlines to carry it through, "Dwight Christmas" has to be one of the most innovative episodes of the series. Pennsylvania Dutch Christmas includes repulsive beverages, unappealing food alternatives, German poem readings, and Belsnickel, a switch-carrying fur-covered gift-bringer. With his concept for a Pennsylvania Dutch Christmas celebration, Dwight, the episode's titular character, gets to work.
